Reporting and BI Consultants

As an experienced Java developer (5-10 years of experience), you will leverage your knowledge of Java / relational DB / XML / JSON / HTML / CSS / JavaScript in order to design and develop turnkey Java reporting solutions for our clients, and to develop our own software, Reporting Maestro. Experience with BIRT or Jasper technology is a definite plus but not essential. Depending on your experience and taste, you will also have the opportunity to practice and/or develop your knowledge of the following technologies / data and front-end architectures: Talend, data warehouse, datamart; Angular, TypeScript, ReactJS, Tomcat, Struts 2, JSP, DHTML, DOJO, jQuery, etc. You will mentor less experienced team members and perform coaching and knowledge transfer at our clients.

This development and consulting position consists of:

Main activites:

  • Design, development, installation and parameterization of custom Java Reporting solutions and templates using BIRT, Jasper and/or our software or that of our partners
  • Integration of these solutions with market standard products such as DBMS, SOAP or REST JSON web services, LDAP directories, EDM systems, SMTP servers, etc.
  • Conducting unit and integration tests
  • Knowledge transfer and client coaching

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • a B.S. or M.S. of engineering in computer science or equivalent
  • a pronounced taste of technology and coding
  • communication and consulting skills
  • solid skill in Java fullstack
  • Good data skills: relational BoD, data warehouse, datamart, data modeling, SQL, stored procedures (PL/SQL). Good knowledge of PosgreSQL or Oracle is a plus
  • Strong skills in standard frameworks and technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, Angular, Tomcat, Struts 2, JSP, DHTML, DOJO, jQuery, etc.
  • Reporting skills, ideally on BIRT and/or Jasper, and BI skills, ideally on Tableau and/or PowerBI, are a plus but not necessary
  • French or English mother tongue and an excellent level in the other language (spoken and written); good knowledge of German is desired but not necessary
  • Willing to travel occasionally in Switzerland and the European Union
  • Swiss or European nationality, or in possession of a Swiss B or C work permit
